One pair sold, one pair given

From this season, every prescription frame sold funds a second pair through Global Vision's clinics. The programme starts in six countries and is designed to run on the same supply chain we already use, so the donated frames are the same quality as the ones on our shelves.

Why sight, and why now

More than a billion people live with a vision impairment that a single pair of glasses would correct. It is one of the few problems in global health where the fix is cheap, immediate and permanent — and where a shop like ours is actually well placed to help.

  • Eye tests funded in six partner countries
  • A donated pair for every prescription frame sold
  • Frames made on the same line as our own
"Correcting someone's sight changes what they can do for work, for study, for the rest of their life."

What happens next

The first clinics open this quarter, and we will publish the numbers — tests, frames, locations — every six months. If you would like to follow the programme, the newsletter at the foot of this page carries the updates.
